Privacy Policy
What we collect, what our host and advertising partner collect, and how to opt out.

This policy covers CurbBench at https://curbbench.pages.dev (“we”,
“us”). It describes what actually happens on this site today, not what a
generic website might do.
The short version
CurbBench is a static website. Every page is a plain HTML file built ahead of time and served from Cloudflare Pages. There are no accounts, no logins, no comment system, no newsletter, no contact form and no shopping cart. We run no analytics software — no Google Analytics, no Plausible, nothing. We do not set any cookies of our own, and we have no database in which to store anything about you.
That leaves two parties who do process data when you visit: Cloudflare, which delivers the site, and Google, which serves the advertising described below.
Information you give us directly
Only if you email us. The address is on our contact page. When you write to us we receive your email address, whatever you put in the message, and the technical headers your mail provider attaches. We use it to reply to you and to act on corrections. We keep that correspondence in the mailbox — we do not add you to any list, we do not have a list, and we do not pass it to anyone else. Ask us to delete a message and we will.
Information collected automatically by our host
Cloudflare receives, as any web host does, the technical details required to deliver a page:
your IP address, the URL you requested, the referring page, your browser's user-agent string,
approximate location derived from the IP address, and a timestamp. Cloudflare processes this on
our behalf for delivery, caching, and protection against attacks and bot traffic. Cloudflare may
set its own security cookies (for example __cf_bm or cf_clearance) for
bot management; these are not set by us and are not used for advertising. See the

We do not have access to a per-visitor log and we do not export or retain one.
Analytics
We currently run none. If we add an analytics tool, we will name it on this page and update the date at the top before it goes live.
Advertising
This site is built to carry display advertising served by Google AdSense, which will be our only source of revenue. As of 2026-08-13 no ads are being served and no advertising script is loaded on any page. The section below describes what will happen once advertising is switched on; we publish it in advance so that the terms are never applied to you before you could read them. See our editorial independence statement for why advertising changes nothing about our test results.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on
your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. This includes cookies set on the
doubleclick.netdomain, such as theIDEcookie. - Ad delivery also involves your IP address, device and browser information, and the page you are on. Google acts as an independent controller of that data, not as our processor: we cannot see, query or delete it.
- We do not sell, rent or hand over your personal information to anyone for money.
How to opt out of personalized advertising
- Turn off personalized ads across Google's own products and its partner sites at Google My Ad Center or Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of a wider set of third-party vendors at aboutads.info/choices (US), optout.networkadvertising.org (US), or youronlinechoices.eu (EU/UK).
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works fine without them — nothing on CurbBench requires a cookie to function.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland (GDPR)
Where we decide how and why data is processed, we are the controller for that processing. Our legal bases are:
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for the technical data our host processes in order to deliver the site securely and keep it available. The interest is running a functioning website; the processing is limited to what delivery requires.
- Legitimate interests for replying to an email you chose to send us.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for advertising cookies and personalized advertising. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google presents a consent message on our behalf before ad personalization cookies are set, and you can decline or withdraw consent through it. If you decline, you may still see contextual (non-personalized) ads, which are selected from the page content rather than from a profile of you.
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to, and port your personal data, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your national supervisory authority. To exercise a right against us, email us via the contact page. Because we hold nothing beyond email correspondence, in practice this usually means deleting an email thread. For data held by Google as an independent controller, use the opt-out links above and Google's own privacy tools; we cannot action those requests for you.
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell personal information, and we have never received money in exchange for anyone's data. The use of advertising cookies described above may qualify as sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA. You can stop it using the opt-out links in the advertising section. Because we set no cookies of our own and operate no user-facing ad-personalization control, opt-outs — including a browser-level Global Privacy Control signal — are handled by Google as the party that sets those cookies; see Google's advertising data policies. You also have the right to know what is collected and to request deletion; email us and we will confirm exactly what we hold, which for almost every visitor is nothing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Children
This site is written for working real estate professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, tell us and we will delete it.
Where data goes
Cloudflare and Google are US-headquartered companies operating global networks, so the technical data described above may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Both rely on their own transfer mechanisms, including the EU standard contractual clauses, for that processing.
Links to other sites
We link to the tools we test and to their pricing pages. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's site under someone else's policy. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data.
Changes to this policy
If we start using an analytics tool, add a form, or change how advertising works, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change goes live, not after.
